Educating and training the future generation of leading industry experts, researchers and policymakers in the field of climate change and carbon neutrality

Educational Objectives

Climate Change Convergence is the first undergraduate program in Korea aimed at educating future experts in the fields of global Climate Change Policy and GHG (Greenhouse Gas) Management. The program offers two specialized tracks tailored to the present and future needs of climate change experts in our society from the public as well as the private sectors. In the interdisciplinary curricula, students learn up-to-date theoretical as well as practice-oriented knowledge to work in local, national and international organizations in climate change research and industry.

Climate Change Policy



GHG Management


Objectives

To educate and train students to become future leaders and policymakers for climate mitigation/adaptation and carbon neutrality


To educate and train students to become future industry experts and researchers in GHG management and carbon neutrality

Curriculum

(1) Major common courses to build basic understanding of climate change and systematic research methodology (1st & 2nd Semesters)


(2) Major selective courses in specialized tracks to strengthen expert knowledge and practical capacities in the fields (3rd ~ 6th Semesters) 


(3) Shared major courses in both tracks to facilitate a converged understanding of, and a comprehensive approach to climate change policy and GHG management

• Public officials in government agencies related to climate change 

• Public, private and academic research institutes

• Specialized consulting firms in climate/ environment areas

• Public and private organizations in International development cooperation, Official Development Assistance (ODA) implementation organizations

• NGOs, civil society organizations in sustainable development
