Hallym University, awarded as an 'Intellectual Property Management Excellent Institution'

□ Hallym University was selected as the recipient of the ' 2022 Intellectual Property Management Excellence Institution' at an award ceremony hosted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office in recognition of its outstanding achievements in overall intellectual property management, including the creation and utilization of university intellectual property rights.

□ From 2020, the Korean Intellectual Property Office has selected universities and government-funded research institutes that have excelled in intellectual property management such as patent quality and technology transfer of institutions as 'Excellent Intellectual Property Management Institutions.'

□ The 2022 Intellectual Property Management Excellence Institution' award ceremony was held at the opening ceremony of the Public Technology Transfer Commercialization Road Show held at the SKY 31 Convention Center in Jamsil Lotte Tower on Wednesday September 21st, with awards being given to the excellent institutions by the Korean Intellectual Property Office.

□ Hallym University will receive intellectual property points from the Korean Intellectual Property Office for the next three years and as a result, and will be able to subsidize up to 40% of the administrative fees for patents that researchers affiliated with Hallym University have invented. This benefit will be applied to all researchers at the university, and it is expected that about 100 million won of researcher patent support will be created as a result.

□ Kang Il-Jun, Vice President of Industry and Academic Affairs, said, “ This award is a very meaningful result of being officially recognized for the efficiency and excellence of Hallym University’s intellectual property management system.” We plan to further strengthen the linkage between the relevant ICC and Hallym Technology Holdings,” he said.
