The National Jeongdong Theater is a theater affiliated under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and aims to be a cultural space that makes people's lives happy through various genres of performing arts. 

In 2023, the National Theater of Korea's regular performance "Amduk: The Origin of Ryu" will be performed. It is based on the life and art of 'Bau Deuk Yi', the first female puppeteer of Namsadang Play.

We want to stage a reinterpretation of 'Namsadang Play', a cultural heritage designated as a national intangible cultural property in 1964 and inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2009.
