International Symposium with Harvard School of Global Health and University of Massachusetts (Friday May 10, 9:00 a.m.)

Hallym University is hosting an international symposium with Harvard School of Global Health and University of Massachusetts on Friday May 10, 9:00 a.m. at the International Conference Center

 

- Lectures by guest speakers and discussions on topics including medical AI, primary healthcare and global healthcare

- Signed MOUs with Harvard Medical School's Department of International Health and the University of Massachusetts, USA for joint research and cooperation on global medical AI



The symposium will cover the latest trends and technological advancements in the field of medical AI, and special lectures by invited speakers will introduce and share perspectives on global collaborative research and cooperation in medical AI.


There will be a special lecture by Professor Jeon, Jin Pyeong, of Hallym University School of Medicine and Professor Do, Shinho, of Harvard Medical School, followed by guest lectures by Professor Meisinger, Kirsten, and Professor Duong, David, (both professors at the Harvard Medical School Center for Primary Healthcare) and a presentation by Professor Jatin, Dave, of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. After the lectures and presentations, there will be a comprehensive discussion and Q&A on the convergence of the global healthcare industry, including primary care, and the AI field.


Dr. Meisinger, Professor at Harvard Medical School's Center for Primary Care, is an international expert on healthcare system innovation and will deliver a lecture on global healthcare with a focus on system innovation and leadership, while Professor Duong, Co-Director of Harvard Medical School's Center for Primary Care, will introduce Harvard Medical School's Center for Primary Care and discuss its vision for the future, including the role of primary care for essential healthcare and the convergence of the AI field. Professor Jatin, Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, will introduce MassHealth, the state's healthcare system, and share his outlook on the role of AI in international health, followed by a lively discussion on related plans and research.


"Holding this symposium and signing the MOU is expected to contribute to sharing innovative ideas and research in the field of medical artificial intelligence and expanding the global medical cooperation network," said Professor Lee, Jae Jun, director of Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital.
