Visa for stay in Korea

Visa extension

Exchange students cannot extend the duration of stay, in principle. Therefore, please choose carefully the duration when you apply.

ALL Degree students, who need to stay longer than the expiry date marked on the back of the Alien Registration Card, must extend their visa before the expiry date.

To have a part-time work

It is illegal for foreign students to have a part-time work in Korea unless they are eligible and eventually get a special permission before they start to work.

Alteration of residence

Whenever the residence in Korea changes, the foreign student MUST inform it to the immigration office.
