KOICA-Hallym Master's Degree Program Graduation Ceremony

Hallym University Graduate School of Global Cooperation


The class of 2020 produced 14 graduates from 13 countries

□ The 2020 KOICA-Hallym Master's Degree Program Graduation Ceremony was held on Tuesday 22nd December, 2020 in Doheon Global School. The event was hosted by Hallym President Choongsoo Kim and Dean Kiwoong Yang, GSGC at Hallym University. 

The KOICA-Hallym Master's Program focuses on Climate Change and its policies in developing countries. 

□ The KOICA-Hallym Master's Degree Program produced its first group of graduates in 2019.This year, 14 students from 13 countries have successfully completed the program. 

□ The students who graduated are public officials from developing countries who were selected as scholarship students to develop leaders in the field of climate change policy upon their return to their home countries. 

□ In his congratulatory remarks, Hallym President Choongsoo Kim said,'Recognize the importance of global trends and do not be afraid to compete with your peers.'

'I hope that you will be the driving force in your country's economic development.' He added the meaning of the graduation ceremony. 
 
 □ Hennry Casper Tufah a Masters student from The Solomon Islands, who spoke as a representative of the graduates, said, “Through the KOICA-Hallym master's degree program, we have developed our expertise to contribute to the development our countries and to develop  a network for future international cooperation. Thank you to Hallym's excellent faculty and to KOICA for supporting this program. 

We will strive to strengthen the development and capabilities of each of our countries as we return home.
