Hallym Global School Special Lecture by second Vice Minister of Science, Technology and Information and Communication

“Prepare for the era of great digital transformation”

□ Hallym Global School held a special lecture on Tuesday 26th April which was presented by second Vice Minister of Science and Technology Cho Kyung- shik. 

□ This special lecture focused on the role of science and technology and ICT to face the rapidly changing future under the theme of “Preparing for the Great Digital Transformation Era”. 

Second Vice Minister Cho explained in detail the necessity of policies for the advancement of the digital economy core infrastructure, including support for projects in Gangwon-do specialized in artificial intelligence, flying cars that can take off and land, and cloud and metaverse support, and the youth support policy that our university students can support and participate in. 

□ Second Vice Minister Cho Kyung-sik is an ICT professional bureaucrat who served as a digital innovation secretary in the Office of the Presidential Secretariat through the Ministry of Information and Communication, the Korea Communications Commission, and the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, which was the predecessor of the Ministry of Science and ICT which has been leading the Digital New Deal policy.
 
 □ The school visit and special lecture by Vice Minister Cho Kyung-shik of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Information and Communication encouraged students of Global School who are studying data industry, information security, AI, metaverse, and platform economy tailored to the era of the 4th industrial revolution, and to learn government digital policies in the classroom.
