Hallym University’s selection confirmed by the Ministry of Education for LINC 3.0
Hallym University’s three major fields of industry-university cooperation, Big Data AI Healthcare, Bio Health Care Materials and Immersive Media Contents will receive Ministry of Education funding of 4 billion won annually from 2022 to 2027, (24 billion won over 6 years).
□ Hallym University was selected for this year's Ministry of Education's '3rd - Phase Industry - University - Research Cooperation Leading University Fostering Project (LINC 3.0)' for demand-tailored growth.
□ LINC 3.0 is different from the second stage of the (social-tailored) industry-academic cooperation leading university (LINC+) project, in that each individual institution strengths were considered in order to maximize the performance according to the characteristics of each university and industry-university-research cooperation capacity.
The sectors institutions could apply for were; Leading technological innovation, Demand-tailored growth and Cooperation foundation building.
□ Hallym University was selected for the demand-tailored growth sector, and from 2022 to 2027, it will receive approximately KRW 4 billion a year.
□ Hallym University three specialized fields of industry-university cooperation are big data /AI healthcare, bio-health care materials, and immersive media contents.
In connection with the LINC 3.0 project, Hallym will lead the way in industry-university-research cooperation education, technology development and commercialization, business start-up promotion and corporate growth.
□ The main contents include:
△ Cultivating field-based talent through the establishment of a job-oriented Nano-degree curriculum
△ Activating the ICC (Enterprise Collaboration Center) in three specialized fields to lead the development of key regional industries
△ Improvement of internal and external industry-university-research collaboration cooperation system by building a collaborative integrated platform
△ Expanding technology commercialization using Technology Holdings Co., Ltd. and creating a technology-based startup ecosystem

“Hallym University will promote the project with the goal of creating results of industry-university cooperation and utility collaboration through the implementation of the OPEN CAMPUS leading model, supporting companies in the university’s specialized fields, and cultivating customized talents”.
□ Hallym University has been striving to create successful results of industry-university cooperation, such as receiving excellent evaluations in the second stage (socially tailored) LINC+ project and since the first stage LINC project was established in 2014.
With this LINC 3.0 project selection, Hallym has established itself as a leading university in industry-university cooperation in name and in reality.
