Hwang Joon-kook, a visiting professor at the Graduate School of Global Cooperation at Hallym University, appointed as the new UN ambassador to the Republic of Korea

□ Hallym University Visiting Professor Hwang Joon-kook of the Graduate School of Global Cooperation was appointed as the UN Ambassador to the United Nations on the Tuesday 7th June, 2022. 


□ Professor Hwang Joon-kook, a visiting professor at the Graduate School of Global Cooperation, has been conducting research on 'Northeast Asia, Cooperation, Competition, Conflict’, ' World Politics Theory’, ' International Organization Theory’, etc. He lectures on international politics and international relations. 


□ Professor Hwang Joon-kook, a visiting professor from Seoul, graduated from the Department of Economics at Seoul National University and received a Master's degree in Policy Studies from the Graduate School of Princeton University in the United States.
 
Since then, he has been in charge of Korea's foreign affairs by serving as the head of the UN Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Advisory Department of the UN Mission, the Office of International Organization Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Head of the Korean Peninsula Peace Negotiation Headquarters, and the Ambassador to the UK.
