Nobel Peace Prize winners from around the world gather in Gangwon-do December 11th to 14th, 2022.

Celebrating its 77th anniversary, the Gangwon Ilbo will hold the '18th 2022 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate World Summit Gangwon' in Pyeongchang and Goseong, Gangwon-do.

Established by Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev, the World Summit is an international public forum where Nobel Peace Prize winners gather and discuss to resolve tensions and conflicts and establish world peace. After the first meeting in Rome, Italy in 1999, it was held in landmark cities of world peace, such as Paris and Berlin.

This year, under the theme of 'STRONGER TOGETHER', it will be held in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, South Korea, which delivered the message of peace to the world through the 2018 Winter Olympics, and the Goseong DMZ, which preserves the pain of division.
